Before Travel:

Entering Bali:

Make sure before entering Bali that your passport is valid for 6 months. Money:

The basic unit of money in Bali is the Indonesian Rupiah. You can easily exchange foreign currency at major banks and authorized money changers. However do exchange money at reputable location. Make sure you are given correct rates and always count your money before leaving.

GILI TROPICAL ISLANDS

Each island has several very small resorts, usually consisting of a small collection of huts for tourists, and a restaurant. As a result most of the islands around the coast of Lombok have Gili in their names, although confusion is averted by referring (in English) to the other Gilis around the Lombok coast by their proper names only.

Cidomos (local horse and carts) are easily located all over the islands but tend to hang around the harbour and busy spots, arrangements can be made if you are staying in a more remote place on the island, for instance a late ride home from the bar, Haggling is the norm, and always agree a price before your journey.
